The Private Chauffeur Advantage
Why a private chauffeur is the only safe way to leave Newark Airport.
Trying to take public transit, yellow taxis, or rideshare apps during a layover is a recipe for missed flights and massive luggage stress.
2. Zero Waiting for Rides.
Hailing Ubers or taxis between stops wastes 15–30 minutes per ride and risks driver cancellations. Your chauffeur stages right outside your venue, ready to roll the second you step out.
3. Live Traffic & Guaranteed Airport Return.
Our dispatchers monitor live New Jersey Turnpike, I-78, and tunnel traffic telematics. Your driver ensures you are back at your exact departure terminal door with time to spare.
4. Executive Toyota Comfort.
Recharge between flights in a spotless, climate-controlled Toyota Avalon, RAV4 AWD, Camry, or Prius with chilled bottled water, phone chargers, and leather quiet seating.

Layover Knowledge Base
Frequently asked questions about Newark Airport layovers.
Can I legally leave Newark Airport during a layover?
Yes. For domestic connections, you can exit the terminal immediately. For international arrivals, once you clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and re-check any through-checked bags, you are free to exit the airport. You will simply go through TSA security screening upon your return.
How long of a layover do I need to visit Manhattan?
We recommend a minimum scheduled layover of 7 to 8 hours for a trip into New York City. The drive between EWR and Midtown takes 35–45 minutes each way. This leaves you 2.5 to 3.5 hours for sightseeing while preserving the mandatory 2–3 hour security buffer.
What can I do on a 4 to 5 hour layover?
Do not go to Manhattan on a 4-hour layover. Instead, take a 10-minute ride with our chauffeur to The Mills at Jersey Gardens for tax-free designer shopping, or to Newark's Ironbound district for an authentic Spanish/Portuguese feast (Fornos of Spain / Iberia). Both are less than 12 minutes from the runways.
What do I do with my luggage during my excursion?
Newark Airport offers no passenger luggage storage lockers. When you book our private layover service, your carry-on luggage, backpacks, and personal items remain safely locked in the spacious trunk of your chauffeur's vehicle while you dine and sightsee.
